We are a small Baptist church of 23 members located in Dunamanagh, Co. Tyrone amongst the picturesque foothills of the Sperrin mountains, in the Dennett valley.

A brief Church history.

The Church was founded by a group of bible believing Christians who wished to establish a local Church based on the teachings of the New Testament.

The Church started out as an independant evangelical Church, and established itself in the old clothes factory on Lisnaragh Road. In 1988 the Church changed it's name to Dunamanagah Baptist Church, and joined the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland.

God blessed the work and the members of the Church, and a number have gone on into full time work for the Lord. The Church has continued to grow and despite many of the church's young members moving away from the area to live, membership still remains in the low twenties.

Dunamanagh Baptist Church has a good range of activities, despite our modest numbers.

Currently the Church's activities consist of:

Sunday Morning Service & The Lords Super. 11:00 a.m.-12:00noon (12:00noon-12:30 p.m.)

Sunday School. 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Sunday Evening Service. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study. ( Tuesdays ) 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Good News Club. ( Mondays October-April ) 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Youth Club. ( 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month October- April ) 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.

Youth Street Outreach. ( Saturday nights prior to Youth Club

Monthly Ladies Bible Study. ( Last Thursday of the month ) 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. (Tea/Coffee from 7:30 p.m.)

Holiday Bible club. First week of August

Literature Distribution around the area. ( Summer, Christmas, Easter and at special events )

Map & Directions

The Church premises are located along the Berryhill Road (B49) very close to the centre of the village.

We are located about 60m from the centre of the village on the left hand side, travelling towards Strabane.

From Belfast approximately 70 miles (1 hour 35 minutes ) :

Take the Claudy turn off from the main Belfast to Londonderry road ( A2 ). When you arrive in the centre of Claudy village cross over the main street junction and follow the signs for Donemana ( B49 ) Then you will travel for approximately 8 miles before you reach Donemana.

From Omagh approximately 20 miles ( 40mins ) :

Take the Gortin Road out of Omagh. When you arrive in Gortin go across the staggered junction and continue along B48 towards Plumbridge. After arriving in Plumbridge turn left once over the bridge and take the next right which is signposted Donemana ( B48 ).

From Londonderry approximately 13 miles ( 20 minutes ) :

Take the A5 road towards Omagh, Strabane. After several miles you will come to the village of Newbuildings. At the traffic lights turn left. You are now on the B48 which will take you to Donemana.

From Strabane approximately 8 miles ( 15 minutes ) :

Take the A5 towards Londonderry. As you are leaving the edge of Strabane there is a turn to the right for Artigarvan and Donemana along the B49. Follow this road straight through Artigarvan and you will come to Donemana.
